The Evolution of Fitness

CrossFit is high intensity cross-training that can be done with basic gym equipment - in a group or alone - both for general fitness and as a base for specific sports. It's being used in law enforcement, firefighting and military circles, as well as our own Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs.

CrossFit is an extremely efficient and effective way to get into world-class shape. The workouts are functional, varied and intense. CrossFit takes basic, functional exercises - squats, push-ups, pull-ups, dips, dead-lifts, medicine ball work and more - emphasizes full range of motion and dynamic balance - and adds short bursts of cardio. The mix of drills, different day to day, blasts every muscle in your body while providing enough variety for motivation and adequate recovery time for growth.

Training this way scales to any ability level-our members range from young athletes to senior business executives. Your needs and the professional athlete's differ by degree not kind. Increased power, strength, cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, flexibility, stamina, coordination, agility, balance, and coordination are each important to the world's best athletes - and to everyone else too! Most of us at GRBJJ are just everyday people looking for a serious kick in the butt, but the very same program is used by our Mixed Martial Arts athletes and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors. Whatever shape you're starting from, you can join our CrossFit program and work your way up to any level of fitness you want.

CrossFit workouts are short and mind numbingly intense, replacing ordinary weight lifting and steady-state aerobic training with mixed-up, maxed-out, body blasting exercises that leave you reeling - and quickly begin melting fat, building muscle, increasing flexibility and giving you noticeable improvements in both aerobic capacity and strength.
