Premier League Fighting's first event will take place on August 22, 2008 with a special appearance by UFC Fighter and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Jorge Gurgel.

GRBJJMMA Trains Champions

GRBJJMMA professional fighter, Brian Heden, defeated Boban Simic by a majority decision (30-26, 30-26, 28-28) to become the new XFO Heavy Weight Champion!

Travis Trayer defeated Rich Lictawa by tapout due to armbar at 2:17 of the first round. This victory brings Travis' amateur record to a 4-1 and 4-0 since joining GRBJJMMA.

Cody Garvey lost a knock down, drag out war to Nick Scotti by rear naked choke at 0:36 in the third round.

Tozi fights MMA in USA
Black belt to make international debut


One of the names to stand out in the 2008 Jiu-Jitsu Pan-American, the competition in which he was runner-up in the absolute black belt categorty, Roberto Tozi is getting ready to make his international MMA debut. The fighter was confirmed on the card of Link Fighting Championship, an event organized by Brazilian Marcio LaSelva and is planned for May 10, in the city of Wichita, Kansas.

“Another of Tozi’s black belt in the event is Fernando Neto, who has one fight in Brazil and will be making his first international appearance. Neto is training with Rich Franklin and Jorge Gurgel for this event. Our card will have 12 fights on it, six of them are professional,” says LaSelva.

The organization promises an appearance from Anderson Silva, UFC middleweight champion, as guest of honor, and the stadium will have a 5-thousand spectator capacity.

Clint Crabtree Training in Brazil

Always wanting to improve his game and strengthen his Jiu Jitsu, GRBJJMMA Head Instructor, Clint Crabtree, packed his bags late this spring and traveled to Brazil where he spent 10 days training with some of world's greatest grapplers including Hermes Franca and 7-time World Champion Robson "Robinho" Moura.
